When a space is left unoccupied, ceiling-mounted occupancy sensors throughout the facility provide reliable motion-detection to reduce energy usage. Cresnet® communications partition sensors, designed with hospitality environments in mind, use an infrared beam to sense the position of movable partitions within a space for further automation. The Cresnet communications network enables direct connection to a Crestron control system for integrated lighting and climate control. Beyond the automated features of the system, patients and staff also have the option to manually adjust room lighting using sleek Crestron Cameo® keypads.
Crestron Fusion® monitoring and scheduling software adds another layer of intelligence to the facility. With the data collected, researchers at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) have been able to analyze the effectiveness of the lighting control system as well as observe how the patients and staff are using it.
