Crestron Virtual Panel

Crestron Touch Screen Control Application for macOS® and Windows® OS

A desktop application for Windows® and macOS® platforms that turns a supported computer into a virtual touch screen.

Crestron Virtual Panel is a desktop application for Windows® and macOS® platforms that turns a supported computer into a virtual touch screen. Crestron Virtual Panel provides a low‑cost, customizable solution for controlling a home, office, or classroom directly from a computer. A kiosk mode is also provided for specialized control applications such as hotel lobby check-ins and interactive museum exhibits.

Crestron Construct and Crestron HTML Support
Crestron Virtual Panel supports custom user interfaces created with Crestron HTML5 User Interface and Crestron Construct™ configuration software (SW‑CRESTRON CONSTRUCT IDE), allowing greater flexibility for UI developers and programmers.

  • Crestron HTML5 User Interface enables UI designers to develop rich, front-end user interfaces with increased reusability and efficiency using modern web methodologies. Crestron HTML5 User Interface development tools are provided to simplify creating user interfaces built on standard web technologies.
  • Crestron Construct is a cross-platform developer application that enables programmers to create HMTL5‑based user interfaces within a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) environment to further simplify UI development.

A touch screen project developed using Crestron HTML5 technology can be instantly transformed into a Crestron Virtual Panel project, dramatically reducing programming time. Touch screen projects using Crestron HTML5 can even be launched directly on a computer by simply opening the .ch5z project file, offering a convenient method for programmers to test touch screen projects without requiring hardware.

Control System Compatibility
Crestron Virtual Panel is supported by Crestron control systems natively to add remote access to a Crestron system. A computer running Crestron Virtual Panel can communicate directly to all 3-Series®, 4-Series®, and Crestron Virtual Control (VC-4) control systems over Ethernet. No special servers are required to host the touch screen project. An integrated address book is also provided to manage connections to multiple systems simultaneously.
