The SW‑IV‑SAM‑3RDPARTYCAM is an enablement key that is required to integrate select third-party cameras with an Automate VX Pro System Series 2 Voice-Activated, Multi‑Camera Switching Solution processor (IV‑SAM‑VX2‑P). Compatible third-party cameras are listed below.
Each enablement key is a one-time purchase that is applied to a single IV‑SAM‑VX2‑P processor.1, 2 The enablement key must be associated with the applicable IV‑SAM‑VX2‑P via the Licensing and Registration Hub.
Note: The SW‑IV‑SAM‑3RDPARTYCAM requires the additional purchase of an Automate VX Care plan (IV‑VXCARE) for an initial subscription term of a minimum of three years, where available.3
Compatible Third-Party Cameras
The following third-party cameras can be integrated with an IV-SAM-VX2-P via the enablement key:
- Panasonic® AW-UE100
- Panasonic® AW-UE150A
- Panasonic® AW-UE160
NOTE: Refer to Knowledge Article 32784 for a complete list of all third-party cameras (with corresponding firmware versions) that can be integrated with the IV‑SAM‑VX2‑P. Third-party cameras not listed cannot be integrated with the IV‑SAM‑VX2‑P via the enablement key. Supported third-party cameras that are running firmware other than the listed version may not integrate effectively with the IV-SAM-VX2-P.
Enablement Key Activation Options
SW‑IV‑SAM‑3RDPARTYCAM can be activated via the Licensing and Registration Hub either using online licensing via the XiO Cloud® service or using the Offline Licensing USB Dongle (USB-OFFLINE, sold separately).
- For online licensing via the XiO Cloud service, an active XiO Cloud account is required.
Note: A free XiO Cloud subscription (SW‑XIOC) or paid XiO Cloud Premium subscription (SW‑XIOC‑PREMIUM‑1YR‑1‑99, SW‑XIOC‑PREMIUM‑1YR‑100‑499, and SW‑XIOC‑PREMIUM‑1YR‑500+) is not required to activate the SW‑IV‑SAM‑3RDPARTYCAM.6
- For offline licensing, connect a USB-OFFLINE dongle to the IV-SAM-VX2-P that is registered with the enablement key.
Note: Any SW‑IV‑SAM‑3RDPARTYCAM licensed via the XiO Cloud service cannot be converted to offline licensing. A new SW‑IV‑SAM‑3RDPARTYCAM purchase is required to change from online to offline licensing.

Included Remote Professional Services
Remote professional services are included with the purchase of SW‑IV‑SAM‑3RDPARTYCAM to assist with preinstallation support, as well as remote deployment and validation.5
Note: A maximum of three (3) room configurations are included with the purchase of each SW-IV-SAM-3RDPARTYCAM. An additional charge will apply for systems requiring more than three room configurations. An Equipment Proposal, referenced below, will include the cost of deploying additional room configurations.
Scheduling Remote Professional Services
To schedule Crestron remote professional services, complete the Automate VX Professional Services Fulfillment Request Form. To ensure your project timeline is met, please submit this form at least 3 weeks prior to your desired install date. Before submitting the Automate VX Professional Services Fulfillment Request Form, customers must obtain an Equipment Proposal from Crestron’s Sales Support Services team. The Equipment Proposal will include the IV-SAM-VX2-P processor, IV-SAM-3RDPARTYCAM enablement key, A three year minimum subscription term to IV-VXCARE (where available), third‑party cameras and other equipment (such as microphones), and the number of proposed room configurations required for deployment. All requests for Remote Professional Services must reference the Equipment Proposal number and customers must acquire the complete camera system as outlined in the Equipment Proposal.
Preinstallation Support
After purchase, the Crestron support team will review your proposed installation plan and recommend the optimal placement of the Automate VX system, Crestron 1 Beyond cameras, third-party cameras, and other third-party equipment (such as microphones).
A dedicated team member will answer questions regarding system configuration and control system programming and help identify the resources required onsite for deployment.
Remote Deployment and Validation
Following installation, the Remote Professional Services team may need to connect remotely with your onsite team to help deploy the Automate VX solution. An AV technician is required onsite during this stage, as local configuration changes to auxiliary equipment such as third-party cameras, microphones, Digital Signal Processors (DSPs), and control processors may be required.
Once the system is configured, the Remote Professional Services team may perform a complete validation of the camera tracking system remotely. Validation of the Crestron Automate VX system involves simulating a video conference call with your onsite AV technician to validate camera tracking, microphone sensitivity, lip-sync, API control from your control panel, and all other related functionality.
