Adds 400 disc storage to the ADMS[3]. Can also be used without the ADMS. Compatible with Crestron and Prodigy systems.Available in the United States and Canada only.

The Sony ES MegaChanger (Crestron model CEN-BDP-CX7000ES) provides organized storage and playback of an incredible 400 discs including Blu-ray Disc™, DVD, and CD[1] media. As an add-on to the ADMS[2,3], or as part of any complete Crestron® or Prodigy® home entertainment system, the CEN-BDP-CX7000ES allows for sophisticated control integration and delivers high-end HD video and audio performance befitting the finest custom theater.

ADMS Mega Disc Storage[3]

Ideally designed as an accessory to the Crestron ADMS Intermedia Delivery System™, the CEN-BDP-CX7000ES provides a seamless solution for integrating an entire collection of DVDs and high-definition Blu-ray Discs into the ADMS media library alongside online movies and videos, Internet TV, home videos, music, photos, and Websites. Up to seven MegaChangers can be added to the ADMS for an astounding 2800 discs! And, since the discs are never "ripped" to the ADMS' hard drive, even copyrighted content can be legally stored and played on demand for your personal enjoyment.

For full details on all of its amazing capabilities, please see the ADMS spec sheet.

The total ADMS + MegaChanger package employs a Crestron HD-MD8X1 QuickSwitch HD® HDMI Switcher[2] to manage the output signals from each disc changer and the ADMS. Fully transparent source selection is achieved via Ethernet under the command of the ADMS.

A Disc Changer for All Systems

The CEN-BDP-CX7000ES may also be used without the ADMS as part of any Prodigy or Crestron system, with fully integrated control and metadata available through a touchpanel, handheld remote, or on-screen display (OSD). When operated in this manner, the OSD allows searching, sorting, and navigation of the disc library by title, genre, cast and more, with metadata downloaded from the Gracenote™ online service[1].

High-End HD Video Performance

The CEN-BDP-CX7000ES is a high-end, full-featured Blu-ray Disc player. In addition to Full HD 1080p video output, it also features 24p True Cinema™ capability to let viewers watch films at their intended 24 fps (frames per second) — the way movies are shot and mastered — for more cinematic picture quality. Additional processing includes HD Reality Enhancement, which sharpens edges for super-crisp video, and Super Bit Mapping, which upsteps the standard 8-bit Blu-ray Disc or DVD video signal to 14 bits, providing extremely smooth video gradation, even on 8-bit video displays.

Precision Cinema HD Upscale

Built-in upscaling enhances standard DVDs to near HD quality using advanced conversion and processing to detect image changes at the pixel level rather than at the level of whole scan lines. Separate algorithms are used to process the moving and still parts of an image, resulting in sharp backgrounds with moving objects that are free from motion artifacts.

High-Definition Audio

Full support for the latest high-definition 7.1 surround sound formats, including Dolby® TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio™, ensures a "lossless" audio signal that is bit-for-bit identical to the master studio recording. The choice of internal decoding or bitstream output assures ultimate compatibility with a wide range of displays and audio processors.

BD-Live™ Interactive

BD-Live technology brings the next generation of interactivity, allowing you to download and stream bonus content, such as additional scenes, shorts, trailers, movie-based games, and more.[4]

High-speed Ethernet

Ethernet connectivity provides for seamless integration with the ADMS[3], or a Crestron or Prodigy control system. It also affords the essential interface to a broadband Internet connection to enable automatic firmware updates, metadata downloads[1], and BD-Live access.
