Crestron AVIA Tool Release Notes

Introduction

Thank you for installing the Crestron AVIA Tool. The following sections are available in the release notes:


System Requirements

Supported Operating Systems
  • Windows Server 2008
  • Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit platforms supported. Installation requires an admin account, but can be run under an account with normal privileges.
  • Windows 8.1 supported. Installation requires an admin account, but can be run under an account with normal privileges.
  • Windows 10 supported. Installation requires an admin account, but can be run under an account with normal privileges.
Minimum required PC configuration
  • Windows 7: 1GHz x86 w/1GB RAM
  • A display resolution of 1366x768 or better
Recommended PC configuration
  • Windows 10: 2.70GHz x64 w/16GB RAM
  • A display resolution of 1920x1080 or better

Known Issues

  • Tool slows down as multiple joins across multiple DSPs are added to DSJ; work around by making logical groups
  • Symbol exports with more than 5000 joins activated simultaneously can produce inconsistent results; work around by limiting symbol exports to 5000 total joins or less
  • Representation of the liquid gauge for gain reduction from a compressor object will appear inverted from the Avia Tool when exported as a UI export, though the value remains the same between both interfaces

  • Known Issues
    • USB connections with SIP Codecs do not automatically identify the DSP as an AEC Speaker phone. Default DSP configuration for internal AEC is Enable = Off. To use the DSP AEC (Enable = On) the external Codec AEC must be Off. POTS and SIP calls require that the DSP AEC Enable = On.
    • Undo/Redo is currently initiated from the Edit menu only. Hotkey shortcuts will be added in a future release.
    • I/O metering selections for UI export is not available from any of the high level Page Views. Metering is available for UI export from within individual DSP objects such as Input Gain, AEC or Output Level.
    • Certain computers may encounter a graphics rendering exception due to a bug in Windows. If this is encountered, please update your graphics card drivers to the latest version, and run Windows Update to ensure your computer is up to date. More information: https://bit.ly/2ImJlSW
    • Symbol Export files created with this version of the Tool require minimum Crestron Database v68.07.002 to be used when compiling in SIMPL Windows.
