Tariff Surcharges on Crestron Electronics, Inc. Invoices

As international tariff policies remain dynamic, we are implementing a tariff surcharge on invoices, as noted above, in order to manage these increased costs in a transparent way. We have opted to implement a tariff surcharge rather than a price increase to provide greater transparency and to enable us to respond more quickly as tariff rates may change.

The tariff surcharge will appear as a separate line item on invoices to reflect an estimate of the additional cost impact of tariffs on Crestron products. Please note that the tariff surcharge will be applied to all invoices issued on or after the effective date regardless of when an order was placed.

The tariff surcharge will apply to the total gross amount of all hardware items included on each invoice prior to the application of any discounts, sales tax, or shipping charges, but will not be applied to services and software subscriptions.

The tariff surcharge rate and application remain subject to change. We will publish the current tariff surcharge rates, as well as information on future adjustments, on this Pro Portal page.

FAQ

Why a tariff surcharge rather than a price increase?

There are several reasons:

1. The tariff situation in the U.S. and globally is changing rapidly. The tariff surcharge enables us to adjust the rate we pass along quickly and transparently to our authorized resellers.

2. The tariff surcharge is a transparent way to represent the higher costs associated with manufacturing and distributing Crestron products. Passing it along as a surcharge in this way makes it possible for our authorized resellers to clearly see the impact and choose whether to pass it along further to their customers.

Crestron has long promoted a U.S.-centric manufacturing approach; why are you passing along tariff surcharges?

Crestron, like all technology manufacturers, relies on a diverse supply chain for components and finished goods (we source from 35 different countries). While many of our products are manufactured in the U.S. or Mexico, we still rely on components, as well as some finished goods, from China and other countries.

Are you investigating changes to your supply chain as a result?

We continually review our supply chain to deliver the highest-quality products at competitive prices. Changes to a supply chain require many months, if not years, of planning and execution.

How often will you adjust the tariff surcharge rate?

We will evaluate the tariff surcharge rate on an ongoing basis and may adjust it up or down based on updates to the impact of tariff policies. We will provide notice on the Pro Portal of any updates to the tariff surcharge rate or application.
