        Battery-Powered Photosensor with infiNET EX®, Dual-Loop

        A battery-powered, wireless, dual-loop photosensor designed to provide superior sensing of natural light and control of indoor light in daylight harvesting applications.

        The GLS-LDL-EX-BATT is a battery-powered, wireless, dual-loop photosensor designed to provide superior natural light sensing and indoor light control in daylight harvesting applications. Two internal photocells—one for open-loop daylight sensing and one for closed-loop ambient light sensing—effectively cut costs while providing exceptional photosensing in residential, commercial, or retro-fit applications. The GLS-LDL-EX-BATT monitors natural daylight from windows and signals the lighting control system to raise or lower the lights according to natural light fluctuations, reducing energy usage while maintaining a consistent light level for a more efficient and comfortable work or living space. The photocells on the GLS-LDL-EX-BATT report analog values ranging from 0-65535 lux.

        Versatile Mounting

        The battery-powered GLS-LDL-EX-BATT photosensor can be mounted in a variety of places due to its wireless design. The sensor can be mounted to drywall with an anchor and screw, to a drop ceiling or lighting fixture with a magnetic strip, or in a temporary location with adhesive tape. For ceiling mounts, the entire photosensor snaps into a mounting plate that can rotate up to 40 degrees after being secured in place, allowing its position to be fine-tuned after installation. The GLS-LDL-EX-BATT is a sleepy device that will not communicate with infiNET EX® technology unless a certain time or light threshold has been achieved. This ensures that the sensor does not draw on power unnecessarily and that the battery has a long lifespan.

        infiNET EX

        Ultra-reliable infiNET EX wireless technology provides steadfast two-way RF communications throughout a residential or commercial structure without the need for physical control wiring. Employing a 2.4 GHz mesh network topology, each infiNET EX device functions as an expander, passing command signals through to every other infiNET EX device within range (approximately 150 feet or 46 meters indoors), ensuring that every command reaches its intended destination without disruption.[1]

        The GLS-LDL-EX-BATT communicates with a Crestron control system via an infiNET EX Wireless Gateway (model CEN-RFGW-EX, DIN-AP3MEX, or MC3[2]). Up to 100 infiNET EX devices may coexist on a single wireless network, and every non-battery-powered device that is added to the network effectively increases the range and stability of the entire network by providing multiple redundant signal paths.[1]

        1. Any infiNET EX device that provides expander functionality will effectively extend the range of the wireless network beyond the initial range of the gateway. Battery-powered infiNET EX devices, including the GLS-LDL-EX-BATT, do not provide expander functionality. Wireless networks composed predominantly of battery-powered devices may need additional infiNET EX expanders, such as the CLW-EXPEX or GLA-EXPEX (sold separately), or other non-battery-powered infiNET EX devices to ensure proper functionality of the network and battery life for the devices.
