Crestron CresFiber is multimode fiber optic cable designed to ensure the simple and reliable installation of a fiber-based DigitalMedia™ system. High-bandwidth laser-optimized cores enable wire runs up to a maximum of 1000 ft (300 m) between DM devices. Breakout cable construction helps simplify termination, providing four individually jacketed fiber strands within a single reinforced outer jacket, eliminating any need for a separate breakout assembly or intermediary splice. Only two fiber strands are required for connecting DigitalMedia equipment, leaving two spare strands for backup or expansion.
Available in 500 and 1000 ft spools, model CRESFIBER-NP is intended for non-plenum indoor riser applications. (For plenum applications, use CRESFIBER-P.) Foot markers are printed on the outer jacket making it easy to determine the exact length of each cable run when commissioning the installed system. Termination of CresFiber cable can be accomplished in under 10 minutes per connector using Crestron CRESFIBER-CONN-SC50UM connectors and the CRESFIBER-TK termination kit.
