        VC-4-ROOM-1YR

Crestron Virtual Control Server Software - Single-Room Subscription License, 1-year subscription

Offers a centralized server‑based alternative to individual hardware‑based control systems in every room. Provides a virtual control system for each room over a network. Subscription licensing allows for rooms to be easily added to an installation and include software maintenance support for the chosen contract period.

Crestron® Virtual Control (VC-4 series) is a server‑based control platform for enterprise applications that can be used in place of hardware‑based Crestron control systems. The platform runs programs to control multiple rooms over the network from a single centralized location.

Many installed devices can be controlled directly via Ethernet, and those that require a serial, IR, or other hardware interface can be integrated via decentralized control ports on a DM NVX® encoder/decoder, DM® transmitter or receiver, CEN‑CI3 series interface, or the CEN-IO wired and wireless series of I/O modules. Wireless Crestron devices may also be integrated via an infiNET EX® wireless gateway.

Crestron Virtual Control also allows organizations to leverage robust redundancy and security measures for increased reliability. For large buildings, Crestron Virtual Control streamlines deployment and maintenance by allowing a single program to be developed and deployed quickly across multiple rooms. Cloud‑based deployment, management, and monitoring are available using the XiO Cloud® service.

Crestron Virtual Control is sold through Authorized Crestron Dealers, and requires installation on a customer‑supplied server running the Red Hat Enterprise Linux® or CentOS® server operating systems.

        Licensing
The subscription licensing model makes purchasing Crestron Virtual Control easy: simply select the number of rooms that you need in your installation, and then choose a license term. Subscription licenses are available in 1-year, 2-year, 3-year, and 5-year terms.

NOTE: Use the following form to add subscription licenses to your XiO Cloud service account.

Additional rooms can be added at any time to support expanding installations. Whenever new rooms are added, the length of the initial subscription period is extended and distributed to all rooms based on the number of additional rooms purchased.

Subscription licenses also include software maintenance services for the entirety of the chosen subscription term. The software maintenance schedule can be viewed here.

Software maintenance services provide the following benefits:

        • Continuous software updates
        • Dedicated support contacts for Crestron Virtual Control
        • Partner registration (the end-customer will be registered as a partner, allowing them to contact Crestron technical support directly with issues pertaining to their installation)
        • Predefined support response times and SLAs (Service Level Agreements)

Crestron also offers perpetual licenses for Crestron Virtual Control (VC‑4‑CORE, VC‑4‑ROOM‑1‑49, VC‑4‑ROOM‑50‑99, and VC‑4‑ROOM‑100+), with the option to add subscription-based software maintenance services to the installation (VC‑4‑MAINT‑1YR, VC‑4‑MAINT‑2YR, or VC‑4‑MAINT‑3YR).
