All New .AV Framework™ Software Brings No-Programming Simplicity to Crestron Presentation Systems
Jun 08, 2016
Exclusive technology enables integrators to deliver ready-to-go presentation systems and a simple, consistent user experience in every room, right out of the box
Las Vegas, NV – June 8, 2016 – Crestron has announced the launch of its all new .AV Framework™ software, which enables integrators to deploy powerful presentation systems without custom programming. .AV Framework streamlines presentation system set up with powerful functionality right out of the box, including auto-switching, plug-and-play connectivity with Crestron Connect It™ cable caddies, and automatic display on/off via CEC. Simply use the new .AV Framework web-based tool to add custom functionality, occupancy sensors, touch screens, network deployment, and more without writing code or designing GUIs. The new .AV Framework is now available in the latest DMPS3 Series presentation systems.
Web-based configuration and deployment
Using the .AV Framework setup and management tool from their favorite web browser, integrators can easily:
- Select sources and displays
- Add a touch screen and automatically generate the GUI
- Add a Crestron MP-B10 pushbutton controller and configure and label its buttons
- Add an occupancy sensor
- Click the Crestron Fusion® software check box to instantly get basic room data, such as occupancy, display on/off, source selection, and to easily update and manage rooms remotely
“For customers, .AV Framework makes it painless to add simple-to-use and simple-to-support meeting rooms throughout their organizations,” said Joe Sarrasin, Technology Manager, Unified Communications. “Our integrators will appreciate how .AV Framework provides a quick and easy way to deploy consistent systems.”
Supports multiple rooms
With .AV Framework, deploying to multiple rooms couldn’t be easier. Integrators just save their configuration to a standard XML file, and then push it out to hundreds or even thousands of rooms at once over the network. Crestron even provides sample files that can be edited and saved before the install so systems can get up and running at “power up.”
Customization is easy too
Keep .AV Framework functionality and user experience, while adding more components, custom functionality, or a logo, using Crestron Studio™ software.
More to come
Crestron will be adding more .AV Framework hosted products, and continue to expand the web-based configuration tool to support more sources, displays, and other third-party and Crestron devices. A list of compatible devices is available at crestron.com/avframework, which will ensure the easiest installation and deployment.
