Companies team up to deliver Crestron RL™, the ultimate group video, voice, and room collaboration solution
Crestron announced today that they have expanded an existing partnership with Polycom Inc. to market and resell the Crestron RL system. Polycom will sell Crestron RL™ through their IT-centric channel, and promote the system’s ability to natively integrate with Crestron systems. Together, Crestron and Polycom deliver the ultimate group video collaboration experience for high-productivity conference rooms.
Crestron is the global leader in intuitive conference room control, automation, and enterprise management. Polycom is the global leader in open, standards-based video, voice, and content solutions for unified collaboration. The agreement between both companies is designed to combine the strengths of each company’s technology, service, and support into a comprehensive group video, voice, and room collaboration solution optimized for use with Microsoft® Lync® 2013.
Crestron RL is a powerful new group collaboration solution for the conference room. Based on Microsoft Lync 2013, it brings Lync from the desktop to the meeting room and integrates with all systems in the room including DigitalMedia™ for AV distribution, lighting, climate, and shading management, giving users complete control of their environment from the same touch screen. Crestron and Polycom will bring the full potential of Lync to the modern conference room, delivering flawless group HD video collaboration capabilities with simple one-touch controls that require no special training to use.
“Crestron offers the most advanced unified collaboration and control technology in the market, powering unmatched conference room experiences for our customers,” said Steve Samson, Crestron Director of Business Development. “We’re excited about extending our partnership with Polycom because they share our commitment to providing the highest quality products and superior customer support. Together, we solve the problems organizations face in providing reliable unified communications and collaboration. Our partnership opens a universe of enterprise-wide integration, management, and control opportunities that we are uniquely positioned to address.”
The first bundled, room-based collaboration system from this expanded partnership is scheduled to be available in Q1 2014.
