Since the onset of the pandemic nearly two years ago, we have all seen major changes in the way business is conducted. Recently we have felt the pinch of global supply chain disruptions resulting in shortages, delays, and increased pricing. Adding to the challenges, inflation in the U.S. and around the globe is beginning to add pressure on the cost of doing business.
When we saw a spike in component and transportation costs early in the pandemic, we were hopeful it was a temporary situation and simply absorbed those costs to limit the burden on you, our partners. In making plans for 2022 and in discussions with our suppliers, it is now clear these increased costs will continue into the foreseeable future. In order to enable our continued efforts to navigate these supply chain challenges, it is now necessary for us to pass on some of these costs in the form of a price increase.
Effective March 1, 2022, we will be instituting a 10% global price increase for all Crestron products and services. We are making you aware of these increases now so you can plan accordingly to fulfill any outstanding commitments and projects. The price increases will not impact any orders you have already placed. In addition, in order to enable you to manage the impact of these changes, we will continue to take orders at current pricing until March 1, 2022, for orders which ship on or before December 31, 2022. Price lists reflecting the increase are now available on our website.
