You may have heard about it at Crestron Masters or the InfoComm® trade show. Now it’s online. The Crestron Modern Workplace Certification path is a new offering that covers everything one needs to get a handle on the tech needed for the workplace in 2025. It was built for workplace designers, sales teams, consultants, and on-site IT and AV professionals.
As we noted when we introduced the course back at the Crestron Masters event in early 2025:
The curriculum covers key aspects of the relevant technology, including:
- Fundamentals of Crestron control systems: Learn the basics of Crestron system architecture and configuration.
- Modern meeting solutions: Explore Crestron's solutions for video conferencing, collaboration, and presentation technologies.
- AV-over-IP technologies: Dive into the world of AV-over-IP and discover how to leverage network infrastructure for flexible and scalable AV distribution solutions.
- Designing user-centric workspaces: Explore best practices for creating intuitive and user-friendly workspaces that enhance productivity and the employee experience. Elements of this include room design, technology integration, and customizing user interfaces.
Now that the path is online, we sat down with Kyle Marles, manager of curriculum development at Crestron, for an episode of our Smarter Spaces podcast. In addition to the nuts and bolts of the curriculum, we had questions about purpose and process: How do we define modern work, and how do we determine just what tech and training needs to be part of the curriculum?
