Crestron Home OS 4.10 Update

Over the course of the last year, Crestron has rededicated its mission to focus on what the company does best: engineering solutions for content, collaboration, and control. This next step in the continuing evolution of the Crestron Home® OS platform is a terrific example of just that.

Cevo Mini Remote Updates

At the nexus of control and content lies our latest enhancements to the Crestron Cevo Mini Remote. This device — which caused a splash when it was first introduced at CEDIA® Expo last year — has gotten a major firmware update that expands the remote's interface capabilities.*

Voice Control Support

With this latest firmware update, the Cevo Mini Remote is now intuitively enabled for voice control with the touch of a single button. This allows users to initiate voice commands directly from the remote for supported platforms, including Apple TV® media extender, Apple® HomeKit® software, and Xfinity® TV. This update allows voice interaction to feel more natural and accessible, while reducing the need to switch devices and maintaining a consistent Crestron Home OS experience for the user. (Dealers will need to access the Cevo Mini Remote firmware update here.)

Guided-Touch Experience

This update also introduces a new “guided-touch” experience for the Cevo Mini Remote, designed specifically for use in low-light environments. Guided touch uses contextual tooltips to display button functionality on the top bar when a user hovers over buttons on the backlit lower half of the remote with a light touch, as illustrated in the video below. This makes it easier to understand and navigate controls in the dark while preserving the familiar layout and tactile feel users are already familiar with. It’s an enhancement that improves confidence and usability without adding complexity to the device, making the Cevo Mini Remote an even more intuitive solution for real-world living spaces.

“Early feedback from dealers and customers was overwhelmingly positive when we rolled out the remote,” says Michael Short, VP of marketing operations and residential at Crestron. “One quick request we heard was for better guidance in low light on the lower button area. Guided touch answers that need, enhancing usability while staying true to the refined design of the remote.”

Atelier Luxus Keypads

For more than 25 years, Atelier Luxus has been designing electrical equipment for some of the world's most demanding clients. Driven by an unwavering commitment to craftsmanship and bespoke design, the brand approaches every product as an object of beauty as much as a functional control interface.

Atelier Luxus operates within its own distinct design universe, defined by exceptional quality, versatility, and a truly custom approach that exceeds industry norms. Each product is designed and manufactured to meet the client's needs, with a strong focus on materials, proportion, and finish. Crafted in solid brass and finished by master goldsmiths, every piece is built to stand the test of time and refined to an exceptional level of detail. The result is a collection of controls that feel luxurious, timeless, and perfectly at home in high-end residential interiors.

The Atelier Luxus Keypad Collections

Both the Atelier Edges and Heritage collections are now compatible with Crestron Home OS, allowing designers and homeowners to combine premium materials and bespoke finishes with the reliability and simplicity of the Crestron Home OS experience.

  • The Edges Collection: The Edges collection was developed to offer the thinnest possible screwless faceplates, creating a clean, contemporary aesthetic that blends effortlessly into a wide range of interior styles. The collection is defined by its refined edge detailing, precision craftsmanship, and rich handmade patinas, delivering a minimalist appearance without sacrificing character or material depth. The collection’s ideal for modern, design-led projects where visual subtlety is paramount.
  • The Heritage Collection: The Heritage collection embraces a more traditional design language, featuring exceptionally thin faceplates with visible screws that highlight symmetry and craftsmanship. This collection combines classic detailing with the same high-quality materials and handmade finishes found across the Atelier Luxus portfolio. Heritage keypads offer a distinctive option for projects where character, tradition, and architectural presence are key considerations, while still benefiting from integration with Crestron Home OS.

Domex Keypads

The update adds support for Domex precision keypads that are Cresnet® communications connected, enabling native integration into Crestron Home systems.

Domex was founded on a simple belief that smart technology should feel natural, quiet, and beautifully integrated into the space around it. With a focus on both intelligence and design, Domex keypads combine refined aesthetics with powerful Crestron technology beneath the surface.

Domex design begins with architecture, not technology. Each keypad is crafted to feel at home within the space, using clean lines, refined materials, and precise proportions that complement modern interiors rather than compete with them. The result is a keypad that never looks “technical” yet delivers a seamless, reliable control experience in the Crestron Home OS. These keypads are designed to control lighting, shading, and AV from a single location and connect directly to the Cresnet communications network. The product line supports configurations from one to nine buttons, with tactile buttons or rocker options, multicolor LED backlighting, and laser-engraved buttons.

Keypads are available with customizable glass faceplates in a range of finishes and colors, allowing them to align closely with interior design requirements. Both horizontal and vertical mounting options are supported, making Domex suitable for a wide range of residential applications where design consistency is critical.

More Updates: V1 Processor ID and 80 Series Touch Screen Support

More Updates: V1 Processor ID and 80 Series Touch Screen Support

In addition to new features and partner support, the Crestron Home OS 4.10 update includes several platform improvements designed to simplify deployment and system management.

V1 Processor Identification

Making our dealers’ lives easier (and saving them time and money) is a core consideration in every Crestron Home OS update. For 4.10, the myCrestron portal now clearly identifies V1 processors, making it easier for dealers and partners to understand which client systems may require updates or hardware changes. This improves visibility and reduces time spent validating system readiness.

80 Series Touch Screen Support

Support for Crestron 80 Series Touch Screens is now live in the Crestron Home OS. These new devices — introduced earlier this year — represent the next generation of smart home control. Currently available in 8" and 10" models, the 80 Series line boasts Crestron’s signature minimalist aesthetic. They’re available in black or white finishes and offer flexible mounting options.

The 80 Series Touch Screens include our fastest processor yet, radar-based proximity detection (to ensure that the touch screen wakes up when someone approaches), and an improved ambient light sensor that automatically adjusts the screen brightness in any lighting condition. Each device is equipped with enhanced audio and intercom features, including far-field microphones and premium speakers.

Every device includes an Ethernet port with PoE and PoE+ for clean, single-cable installation and reliable wired performance. Wi-Fi® connectivity is available, too. The 80 Series Touch Screens provide a familiar interface, making it easy for homeowners to activate scenes, set schedules, and more. These new touch screens are ready to deploy as soon as they ship, enabling a faster, smoother installation experience with no additional configuration required.

“Dealer feedback continues to shape the Crestron experience, with the Cevo Mini update standing as a clear example,” says Short. “Looking ahead, Crestron Home OS 4.11 will deliver the full release of Configure Pro, ready for real-world, on-site use with clients.

“Keep sharing your feedback. It remains central to how our platform evolves.”

*Auto Update is enabled on the Cevo Mini by default; if the device does not update, it is recommended to use the Device Assistant App for the update.
