More Updates: V1 Processor ID and 80 Series Touch Screen Support
In addition to new features and partner support, the Crestron Home OS 4.10 update includes several platform improvements designed to simplify deployment and system management.
V1 Processor Identification
Making our dealers’ lives easier (and saving them time and money) is a core consideration in every Crestron Home OS update. For 4.10, the myCrestron portal now clearly identifies V1 processors, making it easier for dealers and partners to understand which client systems may require updates or hardware changes. This improves visibility and reduces time spent validating system readiness.
80 Series Touch Screen Support
Support for Crestron 80 Series Touch Screens is now live in the Crestron Home OS. These new devices — introduced earlier this year — represent the next generation of smart home control. Currently available in 8" and 10" models, the 80 Series line boasts Crestron’s signature minimalist aesthetic. They’re available in black or white finishes and offer flexible mounting options.
The 80 Series Touch Screens include our fastest processor yet, radar-based proximity detection (to ensure that the touch screen wakes up when someone approaches), and an improved ambient light sensor that automatically adjusts the screen brightness in any lighting condition. Each device is equipped with enhanced audio and intercom features, including far-field microphones and premium speakers.
Every device includes an Ethernet port with PoE and PoE+ for clean, single-cable installation and reliable wired performance. Wi-Fi® connectivity is available, too. The 80 Series Touch Screens provide a familiar interface, making it easy for homeowners to activate scenes, set schedules, and more. These new touch screens are ready to deploy as soon as they ship, enabling a faster, smoother installation experience with no additional configuration required.
“Dealer feedback continues to shape the Crestron experience, with the Cevo Mini update standing as a clear example,” says Short. “Looking ahead, Crestron Home OS 4.11 will deliver the full release of Configure Pro, ready for real-world, on-site use with clients.
“Keep sharing your feedback. It remains central to how our platform evolves.”
*Auto Update is enabled on the Cevo Mini by default; if the device does not update, it is recommended to use the Device Assistant App for the update.
