Demo Boxes for Cameo and Horizon Keypads

Another recent addition to Crestron’s line of demo solutions is the new Cameo® Keypad Demo Case — a compact, portable, and powerful sales tool designed to showcase the elegance and functionality of Crestron’s Cameo Keypads. This solution likely looks familiar to many dealers, as it mirrors the same proven format as the Horizon® Keypad Demo Cases.

Every case features six smaller boxes, each housing a single-gang keypad. To illustrate how the devices look once they’re wired, the keypads are put in demo mode to display the full functionality of their LED backlights, providing a visually stunning experience for all.

As we mentioned on the blog when we introduced the Horizon Keypad Demo Cases:

Setup is as easy as it is quick: The keypads effortlessly slot onto each individual show plate, positioned at a slight angle to ensure optimal visibility and easy access to each keypad for a full tactile experience. Since it’s battery-powered, the demo box eliminates the need for messy wires or power sources, allowing for a clean and sleek presentation. It provides a unique wireless connection, ensuring a smooth and reliable demonstration every time.

The box itself — and the individual showcase boxes — are constructed with the same care that goes into a Crestron keypad. The individual smaller cases have something of a “jewelry-box” effect, designed to impart the same luxurious feel of the devices they carry.

Color Chip Ring for Cameo and Horizon Keypads

Of course, there are situations and demos where an entire box of keypad samples is inconvenient. That’s why we’ve introduced the color chip ring for Cameo® 2 and Horizon® 2 keypads, buttons, and faceplates. This keyring-sized set of solid swatches provides eight textured and smooth finish options for Cameo® 2 keypads, buttons, and faceplates, and three textured finish options for the Horizon® 2 line of products. White, black, almond, and gray are represented in smooth and textured finishes.

“This is a great tool to show designers who are crafting a color palette for a space — and for customers who want to understand the precise visual differences between the colors we offer,” says Manager of Residential Marketing Georgio Galaris. “And it’s obviously super portable.” The chip selection will be updated as Crestron’s keypad finish offerings evolve, of course.

The Shading Sample Book

After giving the shading sample book a complete makeover roughly four years ago, the book got the update we mentioned above. That was also outlined on the Crestron blog just a few weeks ago:

The book includes lifestyle and technical photography to show the shades in real-world settings, larger removable fabric swatches that can be placed directly in a window, and operational fabric swatches that demonstrate how vane actuation and layered sheers transform light. “With those removable swatches, clients can see how natural light transforms the fabric and colors, depending on the directional orientation of a window,” says Leah Martinez, product manager of control and environmental solutions at Crestron.

The large-format swatches demonstrate opacity options, helping users compare translucent and light-dimming fabrics. “These details not only make it easier for dealers and designers to tell the product’s story, but also help homeowners see, touch, and trust the quality they’re investing in,” says Martinez. Every detail of the book was carefully considered. “The cover was deliberately chosen in a soft, luxurious blue with a subtle metallic finish that reflects the light and airy qualities of the shades,” she says. “A debossed logo adds a tactile detail that helps the book stand out on the shelf. From the moment it’s in hand, it signals that this is a collection worth exploring.”
