Rava™
(RAVA)

SIP Intercom & Phone Technology

Enables hands-free voice intercom, video intercom, telephone, paging, and room monitoring using Crestron touch screens and other compatible devices.

Rava™<br>(RAVA)

Rava™ SIP Intercom & Phone Technology[1] is built into many Crestron® touch screens, enabling hands-free intercom, video intercom, telephone, paging, and room monitoring. It works over Ethernet, eliminating the need for any special wiring or switchers.

Rava does two things. First, it allows Rava-to-Rava devices to communicate with each other. Just place two or more Rava devices on the same network and they are instantly set up to intercom point-to-point with each other. No other wiring or special central routing devices are required. In addition to intercom, Rava also supports zone paging, allowing the user to easily call out to multiple rooms. Room monitoring capability lets the user listen in on a room, perfect for keeping tabs on the kids or a sleeping baby.

Second, it allows Rava-to-SIP VoIP, bridging a SIP system with a Rava-enabled device. Take any SIP VoIP phone system and use the existing Ethernet connection to enable intercom, paging, and monitoring with Rava devices. Cisco®, Mitel®, Panasonic®, 3CX® and other SIP systems integrate easily with Rava devices.

Rava-enabled touch screens are pre-configured to work with other Rava devices on the network for quick and easy configuration. They also include built-in echo cancellation, affording true-duplex performance for clear, seamless voice communication. With Rava you can even set the door station to forward to your cell phone. All your devices are connected and can communicate with each other, whenever and wherever you are.

Rava support is NOW AVAILABLE on the following touch screen models:

Rava support is coming soon on the following touch screen models:

  • Smart Graphics™ Support on Apple® iOS 6 devices (coming soon)

Crestron manufacturer partnerships are leading to more exciting Rava-enabled products, including a new release from Barix® Technology Inc. that converts standard analog door stations to Rava-ready, integrated IP solutions without rewiring or replacing the existing door station. A Rava door station will also be coming soon from Holovision (eholovision.com), allowing for door station integration as fast and easy as any Rava-enabled Crestron device.

Notes:

  1. SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) is a signaling protocol widely used for controlling voice and video communication sessions over IP (Internet Protocol). Rava leverages SIP to enable communications between Crestron touch screens and other compatible devices.
