The C2N-TAMWX was developed especially for fans of talk radio, news, sports, and weather to bring high-performance AM and Weather Band radio to the Crestron Home®. The C2N-TAMWX employs an innovative phase-selectable servo-tuned antenna system to achieve exceptional low-noise reception from distant broadcast stations in every direction. This unique design allows the optimal antenna configuration to be set automatically or manually on an independent basis for each station, and stored individually with each station preset.
Designed for attic installation, the C2N-TAMWX connects to a C2N-TFM FM Radio Tuner or C2N-TTVFM TV/FM Tuner positioned at the AV head end. Connecting the C2N-TAMWX to the head end requires just a single CAT5 cable with a permissible length of up to 500 feet.
Up to 10 favorite AM presets and 5 Weather Band presets can be saved onboard the C2N-TAMWX for instant recall. Complete scan and search capabilities are supported. Manual channel selection is also possible through standard incremental tuning or direct numeric entry. Channel frequency, signal strength, preset number and other information can be displayed on any 2-way touchpanel or XPanel computer control page. A headphone output is provided on the tuner's front panel along with user controls and LED display to facilitate local setup and control.
