The CNXTA allows access and control of a Cresnet system through standard telephone lines. It recognizes and generates telephone Dual-Tone Multifrequency (DTMF) signals which are used by the Cresnet system to remotely operate any device controlled by the system. The CNXTA also recognizes caller ID (CID) and CID on call waiting, and uses audio messages recorded as WAV files as voice prompts and responses.
