Crestron Showcases New TPMC-QM Series Touchpanels

Crestron's New TPMC-QM Series Touchpanel Media Centers Provide Embedded PC Functionality and Real-Time Annotation

Crestron showcases its new Isys i/O® TPMC-QM line of touchpanels at InfoComm booth #1600. The innovative TPMC-QM features an embedded Windows XP Operating System, providing onboard PC functionality including 802.11g wireless capabilities. TPMC-QM touchpanels are available with a 15" screen or a 17" widescreen display in a variety of styles including desktop tiltcase and wallmount designs. Crestron TPMC-QM touchpanel controllers include MediaMarker for real-time annotation directly from the touchpanel display, bi-amplified speaker system, built-in microphone, two Crestron QuickMedia® (QM) inputs and QM audience output.

The TPMC-QM Series of touchpanels operate on an embedded PC platform that allows the user to access the Web via Internet Explorer, view streaming media using WindowsMedia® Player 10, manage e-mail, and view popular file formats including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint®, and Adobe® Acrobat® securely in a locked down environment- all while providing easy control of AV distribution, lighting, climate control and security. No external computers are necessary. TPMC-QM touchpanels are ideal for teleconferencing or applications requiring remote computer control or digital media presentation.

Crestron's MediaMarker annotation technology is native to the TPMC-QM touchpanels, enabling presenters to draw, write and highlight digitally right from the touchpanel screen. Perfect for any presentation application, notes can be made electronically over still images, computer graphics, live video or streaming media.

The TPMC-QM Series accepts HDTV signals up to 720p and 1080i, and high-resolution computer graphics up to 1600x1200. TPMC-QM touchpanel screens feature a dual-Window display to view full motion video and high-resolution RGB. The touchpanel screen can be selected as an audience presentation output via the QM port for external display along with speech audio from the built-in microphone and stereo audio from the internal PC.

Video signal enhancement features such as the built-in scaler with motion adaptive deinterlacing, gamma correction, time-base correction and 3:2/2:2 pulldown maintain the optimum, high-quality video image on any display. Complementing the impressive video display is the high-powered, biamplified speaker system onboard the new TPMC-QM touchpanels. These latest Crestron panels pump out high-quality audio over a 10-watt 2-way speaker system. The built-in microphone provides intercom functionality.

Crestron's new TPMC-QM Series touchpanels provides two QuickMeida (QM) inputs and one QM output port. QM is Crestron's innovative technology that streamlines presentation system design and simplifies installation by transmitting audio, video, and computer signals over a single CAT5 cable.

TPMC-QM touchpanels produce astonishing full-color graphics with lightning-fast performance and incredible versatility. TPMC-QM touchpanels feature 24-bit graphics, incredibly bright displays with impressive contrast at any viewing angle. Crestron's new TPMC-QM Series supports enhanced GUI capabilities such as high-resolution graphics and images, dynamic text, full-motion video, animation, multimode objects, translucency and transition effects. The ultra-efficient operating system and expanded onboard memory ensure optimum performance, enabling graphical objects to appear instantly and pages to redraw and open quickly.
