Crestron and Cimax USA/Vertical Integration Group Announce New Partnership

Crestron and CIMAX /VIG Partnership Creates Industry-Leading MDU Solution

CIMAX/VIG (Vertical Integration Group), the largest MDU building integration company in North America, has chosen Crestron, the global leader of custom home solutions, as its exclusive partner providing home automation technology. CIMAX/VIG, the pioneer of the MDU market and dominant industry leader, leverages its VertiLinc® software with Crestron's broad line of award-winning technology including touchpanels, audio and video distribution, home theater systems, and lighting and shade control, to provide the most robust MDU automation solution available.

"Dealing with developers over the years, and understanding their needs and the resources they have for integrating building technology, we had difficulty finding a vendor/supplier that could deliver the technology they demanded. After research, we came to the conclusion that Crestron is the clear choice [for home automation integration] based on their superior technology as well as their support and responsiveness to address the needs and visions of developers," states George Fallica, co-owner of CIMAX/VIG. Crestron revolutionized the custom home installation and whole house automation industry ten years ago when it introduced Total Home Technology. Crestron provides the only complete solution for today's modern homes offering the widest range of touchpanels and keypads, home theater and surround sound systems, audio and video distribution, thermostats and lighting, and wireless solutions.

VertiLinc® software seamlessly integrates with Crestron technology creating the most powerful, affordable, flexible and expandable MDU solution in the market today. The Crestron and CIMAX/VIG building integration partnership delivers an automated control and information system that simplifies residents' lifestyles with one-touch instant access to a wide variety of services. Users can request their car from the valet, reserve chairs by the pool, order meals, make restaurant reservations, order Groceries, reserve tennis courts, order cleaning services, request concierge services, and receive instant building communications on a customized interactive touchpanel.

Building events and home technology are seamlessly connected like never before. For instance, the system recognizes when a unit owner's car enters the parking lot and the Crestron controller automatically activates the "home" mode, which turns on the A/C to a pre-set temperature, turns on entry lights to any level and plays selected music from the audio server throughout the home.

CIMAX/VIG currently has over 25,000 condos under contract including many of the Trump properties in Florida. Crestron technology is integrated into every one of those projects including the Trump Palace in North Miami Beach Florida, which is scheduled to open June 1, 2006. CIMAX/VIG is transferring all their sales offices and projects in Texas, Georgia, New York, Illinois, Nevada, Virginia, and in the Caribbean to Crestron Total Home Technology.

"When two dynamic and innovative companies get together like this it's very exciting," says Randy Klein, Executive Vice President of Crestron. Both Klein and Fallica expressed enthusiasm about their new partnership, "We've both enjoyed a lot of success in the MDU market, but now we've joined our unique strengths to create a solution that is more advanced and robust than has ever been offered before."
