Crestron Enhances Award-Winning UPX-2 Presentation Solution

Crestron introduces UPX-2-MSO, the new enhanced version of its revolutionary, award-winning Universal Presentation Solution (UPX-2). The original UPX-2 is a complete, streamlined AV and digital media presentation solutions, fusing touchpanel control with professional annotation, multi-window video processing, and an embedded multimedia PC. With built-in Windows Media® Player 10, Internet Explorer, NetMeeting®, Remote Desktop, and MS Office and Adobe® Acrobat® file viewers, the UPX-2 serves as a powerful multimedia presentation source without necessitating a separate computer.

Crestron's exclusive MediaMarker™ puts truly professional video annotation and electronic whiteboard capability directly onboard. Only the UPX-2 lets presenters draw, write or type in real-time over any computer, video, HDTV or streaming media source, display the complete presentation to the audience, and then save, edit, and share screenshots in a variety of formats.

Many new features have been added to the new UPX-2-MSO, including selectable Internet security levels, enhanced MediaMarker™ functionality, expanded programmatic control of Internet Explorer and Window Media® Player 10, selectable error message pop-up, PNG and GIF support, dynamic graphics, touch-in support via Cresnet® and Ethernet, and video/RGB source presets.

The new UPX-2-MSO also adds expanded PC functionality. The UPX-2-MSO features a fully functional Microsoft® Office application so in addition to viewing Word, Excel, and PowerPoint®, users can now create or edit documents directly on the UPX-2-MSO. In addition to Flash®, UPX-2-MSO also now features Java Runtime and ActiveX®, enabling enhanced web browsing. In addition to Windows Media Player 10, UPX-2-MSO also includes RealPlayer® and Axis ActiveX Control, supporting a full-range of streaming media. RealPlayer supports RealAudio, RealVideo, and many other formats for viewing streaming media and listening to MP3 audio. ActiveX enables Motion JPEG, MPEG2 and MPEG4 streaming video and audio using Axis web cameras and servers.

UPX-2-MSO offers expanded 1 GB Internal Flash Memory to efficiently operate the new applications and features.
