Crestron Demonstrates Master Control App for Apple® Devices at Macworld/iWorld 2013

Simulated Control of Home, Boardroom, Classroom, and Yacht Live at Appalooza Showcase

Macworld/iWorld is the ultimate fan event for those who use, develop for, and love Apple®. Attendees will experience the latest products compatible with Apple devices, including the Crestron Mobile Pro® app for the iPad® and iPhone® live during the show. Under the slogan "Control Everything™ - All From One App," Crestron will captivate the Macworld audience with hands-on demonstrations of Mobile Pro, using simulated home, boardroom, classroom, and yacht environments, to control entertainment systems, lighting, shades, audio/video, heating/cooling, and security systems.

The Crestron app will be on display in the Appalooza Showcase, one of the most popular areas of the show floor. The pavilion features developers showcasing hundreds of the latest creations for everything from productivity, lifestyle, gaming and IT to education, music making, and photography, all built for the iPad, iPhone and MacBook®.

"The mobile device has become the one piece of technology everyone has, and it can do almost anything," says Sean Goldstein, Crestron VP of Marketing. "Our mobile app enables complete control over the home and workplace. With one app, consumers can control everything, all from their iPhone or iPad anytime, anywhere."

The Crestron Mobile Pro app eliminates the hassle of switching back and forth between a dozen apps to control everything in the home, office, classroom, or yacht: TVs, music, or video game players, temperature, humidity, lights, shades, door locks, and anything else you want. With one app and a Crestron control system, they're in complete control.

Crestron will also host a press conference and lunch on Thursday, January 31st at noon. The press conference will focus on avoiding "The Multiple App Trap" - a look at the evolution of technology and prevalence of mobile apps. Unlike other device apps that are developed, installed and run independently, Crestron Mobile Pro integrates control of all systems and devices in just one app, thereby avoiding the multiple app trap.
