Crestron Demonstrates Tomorrow's Technology Today Live at CEDIA EXPO 2012

Crestron is turning its CEDIA EXPO exhibit space into the smartest home on the block. The company will be demonstrating its next generation integration and personalized automation technologies in a fully-functional integrated home environment, including revolutionary Crestron Studio - Home Designer™ software, the complete line of shading solutions, Crestron airConnect™, which enables homeowners to activate personal room settings from their smart devices, Sonnex™ Multi-room HD Audio System with Apple® AirPlay® support, and tablet-sized, intercom-equipped touch screens.

Crestron Studio - Home Designer™ Software

The comprehensive new development software simplifies the once lengthy tasks of system and GUI design, and is backward compatible with existing programs so old projects can be easily updated and supported.

Crestron Shading Solutions

airConnect
Based on Near Field Communication (NFC) technology, airConnect enables Crestron customers to trigger personal settings on a room-by-room basis for lighting, temperature, shades, entertainment systems or any other devices connected to the control system when their smart phone is in proximity of the specially programmed NFC tag. The paper-thin tags, approximately one square-inch in size, can easily be embedded in convenient and multiple locations, such as behind keypads, dimmers, and switches.

AirPlay Support
Using Apple AirPlay, the Sonnex Multi-room HD Audio System makes it possible for homeowners to stream audio from an iPhone®, iPad®, or Macintosh® computer to any room in the house without the need to switch audio sources - just hit play and it works. With a simple finger tap, anyone with an iPhone or iPad can have music playing in the room - without any interaction with a touch screen or other control device.
