Crestron Core 3 OS Supports High-Speed Multi-Tasking and Drives the Most Interactive and Graphically Rich User Experience Ever

Crestron today announced its revolutionary managed network operating system, designed as a comprehensive core platform for the new AV. Core 3 OS is a robust platform, delivering more power, speed, memory and security. Redefining control processor functionality and scalability, Core 3 performs like a computer operating system. High-speed multi-tasking enables up to 10 independent programs to run simultaneously. Core 3 also drives a new graphical user interface (GUI) framework that delivers richer graphics and more engaging, interactive animations.

Core 3 enables the support of multiple formats and media players including Adobe Air® and H.264 video. Up to 1,000 different applications can be layered into a single programming object. These objects are vector files that scale to any size on iPad™, iPhone®, Android™ devices, touchpanels and HD displays without redrawing or additional programming. A dynamic on-screen display (OSD) expands control to the TV, where a custom interface guides homeowners through control of AV, lighting/shades, HVAC and all other networked systems.

Built-in infiNET EX™ allows wireless control signals to be sent hundreds of feet through floors and walls for unmatched portability and clean installations. Easy connection via Apple®- and Android-based devices enables reliable mobile whole-home control from anywhere in the world.
