The Basilica of Saint Mary Built in 1914, this landmark church was the first designated basilica in the US. While an architectural marvel inside and out, the 60-foot high ceilings and granite and stone interior produced second-rate acoustics. The echoes in this hallowed hall made individual speech nearly inaudible, and a new digital sound system was finally installed. Facing major acoustical and integration challenges, a cost-effective Crestron AV2 Dual Bus control system and touchpanels helped integrate complex acoustic designs with three separate campus networks.
